I choose the lotus because when I was a kid I had a mad fascination with water lilies. Whenever we would go camping or out for a canoe ride I would hang my head over the side of the boat and desperately try to reach them. There was just something memorizing about a beautiful flower that nobody planted, that floated in the middle of the lake, and that I could never manage to pick it and take it home with me.

WOW! That's my artwork on your body! -lol- I gotta admit, that's pretty cool. I can't believe you kept the colors and art pretty much exactly as I drew it. I thought they'd have to change it somehow. Nice design and line work. I really don't like when a tattoo artist thinks he has to outline every detail. My new tatt has no outlines actually. He bloodlined it then did all the color with shading needles. He also did negative space shapes which I really like.

I do like your choice of colors too. Keep us posted when you get it all done and it has peeled like to see how it turns out and holds its color.

That's nice, it all just flows together. :gj: I'm going to show this to my wife, she's all ready to get a new tattoo using a butterfly as the main focus. She will be rockin' when she sees yours! :banana:
