    We use it and like it better than shavings as it seems to perform better..
    We also moisten it to start the breakdown process..Which is quick and easy in the warm months but takes longer in the cool ones..Extruded sawdust into pellets that carry several names depending on your part of the country and feed store..We barely cover the bottom of the mortar pans and mist with water and watch it swell..When we didn't moisten it we found ourselves throwing away whole pellets that never got a chance to pay for themselves..

    Abm makes a better product than equine fresh...

    normally cheaper too.
