Am I wrong to assume most tubs don't have the same floor space as tanks?
Yeah, the Iris CB-70 is 37 quarts, and there's many more that are bigger than that. Plus, if you were to compare them moneywise, the tubs easily beat tanks in floor space.

Btw, that 30 gallon tank is a good pick.

    Actually isn't the Iris CB-70 only 30.6 quarts (reptilebasics.com)

That tub says the height is 5.25 inches. There's other places selling ones that are 6 inches high, and claim it's 37 quarts. I don't see how it'll make that much of a difference, but I'll have to use a calculator. I've seen places throw numbers around like a 30 or 40 gallon when the only difference was an inch.

Wow, good to know. I'll have to check it out to see if actually adds up.

Ok, I tried to calculate it, but it's way off. I get 3567.75 cubic inches, but the conversion for quarts won't give me anything close to 37 quarts. One quart would have to be equal to about 96.4 cubic inches to work.

Btw, it's a little off. The 5.25 inch CB-70 has 3121.78 cubic inches, so about 102 cubic inches would be required for 30.6 quarts.

Yeah, just a little off. It might depend on if it's dry or liquid quarts too, maybe.

It should be dry which is like 67 cubic inches/quart. I'm just baffled why the calculations are almost a third higher than that. I know the edges are round, but I don't see how that makes a big difference.
