Your pentagram is the wrong pentagram.
That's the good one, the satanic one is an upside-down star. ;]

I don't have a pic of my Akasha costume from this year, sadly. It actually didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped (I am not great with face makeup, apparently). But here's my costume from last year, this one I am especially proud of and my first "elaborate" costume.

FREE COOKIES to anyone who can guess who I am dressed as!! :D :D

There's a lot of cool costumes on here too

Thanks! I just used the green foam you can get in the flower arrangements section of Joann's, carved it into the right shape (was a pain in the butt, even with my uber sharp steak knife) and sealed them with 3 coats of a hard-drying glue, then painted three layers of gold nailpolish on top. I used spirit gum and copious amounts of liquid latex to attach them. Once I got it all on, and everything was dry, I could hardly tell I was wearing it--it was all very comfortable.

WOW, did all that makeup make you itchy!? For this year's costume I wore white face makeup and I was itchy, but I can't imagine what you must have been dealing with. Then again I did use makeup from Wal-mart. :D

Costume looks INSANE though. I can only hope that someday I can make a costume that looks that good!

Nope! Not at all. I went to a costume shop and got the good brand-name kind...it was about $3 a tube, and I used 2 full tubes. I wish I'd gotten 3 actually, since it took 3 layers to get good coverage. But really, once it was all on and dry, the most uncomfortable part of the costume was the top. It became kind of itchy after I dyed it (and didn't dye the right color..!) and my hair. The hair cement didn't work, and was itchy...

Thanks! It didn't take too awfully much work on the whole. Just a lot of planning, and about 6 hours cutting fluttery cloth into triangles and sewing it on. XD
