I was on a trip to Chicago. There was a restaurant in the hotel called Shulas. My dinner for me was $120. All I had was steak medallions, asparagus spears, and potatoe, martini, desert. Luckily it was paid by the company.

The most expensive places I've been have already been listed....
A Brazilian buffet - I went with some friends down in TX and we ate until we were almost sick, but it was soo good! It ran about $50 a person
The Melting Pot - I went this year with my b/f as a kinda birthday/some other celebration dinner. It was so good....I would love to go back some time and just get desert. That ended up being about $70-80 a person...I don't quite remember, I just know it's not somewhere I'm going very often! :P

Wow, there is no restaurant that good!! And no matter how good it was, I would still convince myself it wasn't worth $250 each, no way. With prices like that I would hate to see what they charge for the drinks!! I don't do real expensive restaurants, I would say the most expensive I have been to is either Maggianos Little Italy or the Cheesecake Factory, and they aren't that bad, dang good food though!! Haha

You where in Chicago and went to Shula's instead of Ditka's? Bears fans will hunt you down:mad:
I am just kidding, Shula's is pretty good

First time I went to Ruth's Chris, it was in San Antonio, and it was AWEsome. Was the best steak I'd ever had, and the best atmosphere as well. Tried a different Ruth's Chris recently, in Destin...and was quite disappointed. So I guess it depends a lot on each individual restaurant.
Morton's Steakhouse is really good. Fun and different.
The Melting Pot is one of my all-time favorite places to go.
The Charthouse is yummy!
Cattleman's Steakhouse in Fort Worth has awesome atmosphere and great food.
Those are some of the most expensive places we've eaten. There have been a few others, too, but those are the ones I remember right offhand. Dean and I have expensive tastes in dining, but don't often get to indulge. :)

The most expensive place I've eaten at was a Brazilian restaurant - and I agree - damn good food!
Oh yeah - I took Karl to Medieval Times for his birthday last year. The food was not anything to write home about, but the show was worth it! $50 a person - then my folks took me to the Dixie Stampede in Pigeon Forge for my birthday that was the same concept for the dinner and the show.

The most expensive place that we WILL eat will be the Ritz Carlton. I won a trip for 2 last year at my company party to New Orleans - but really the trip could be anywhere. The airline tickets were worth $500 which doesn't get 2 people anywhere round trip, so I used the airline voucher to visit family. We used the American Express "spending money" for bills and we have $600 in Ritz Carlton vouchers still to use. We're going to just go to the one in Buckhead for a weekend which is close enough that we can run home and walk Diamond and we plan to eat "cheap" on Friday and Saturday evenings and use the rest of the vouchers for the brunch on Sunday which is supposed to be fabulous.
The rooms in New Orleans were over $300 a night, so it would have been more money out of pocket besides the extra we would have paid for airline tickets, rental car, boarding the dog, etc.
I've been able to find some weekends where the rooms are $200 a night, so that leaves us less than $200 to "play" with for a meal after also paying for valet parking, tips, etc for the room.

You have NO idea.. It was amazing. Truffles, elegant seafood, meats...
I got to sample a bottle of 1984 Merlot... Exquisite.
(And very very costly)

Hmm... you live in Denver don't you? :P BOTH those restaurants are on the 16th Street Mall. :D
Other expensive places Ari and I have been to would include:
Willie G's
Cafe Berlin
Sushi Han (because we also love sushi and it does add up Fast!)
And, of course, Cattleman's RANCH - the headquarters. *DROOL*
