I guess I am one of those over protective parents my sone is not allowed to leave my side at Halloween but then again he is only 7 so when he gets older I probly will let him run around ;)

But yah get them all those giant like 12 D cell mag-lights. those things will burn a hole in a wall. LOL :rolleye2:

Me too. He so wants to play basketball, and I hope he heals quickly enough to be able to play.

Um...tell him to cut back on red wine (red wine always kills my bad knee). :P

I think it'll be hard to pull him off that bottle, but I'll try. :giggle: :P

Thanks Derek. Not only did he get the break but there's a pretty good scrape on top of his knee. He's feeling pretty good now that the brace is on, but I'm just sure he's going to topple over and break something else trying to use those crutches. :O

Thank you Ashley. I'm really hoping for a quick recovery, but we should find out more info tomorrow.

Oh and I LOVE YOU!!! I was 25 when I had him, so I ummm... well.... I definitely old enough :giggle:

    Thanks Doris.

I'm not looking forward to trying to drag him to the doctor's tomorrow. He's so my son, and is a bit clutzy. I swear we've already had 2 or 3 near misses on the crutches. (it's just easier to pick him up and put him where we want him)

    I appreciate the prayers!

I told his father I'm blaming him. We had stopped to see my daughter's substitute teacher (who she's had for almost 3 months), and my husband decided to let them go to a few more houses. I had just caught up with them right as he went splat.

No he really doesn't have a high tolerance for pain... not at all. There was a bit of swelling this morning, but otherwise it looks pretty good. Hopefully he'll be good as new soon.

It kinda sucks because the kids have the week off and we were going to go to the park and do some random things, but that's not likely with him being all gimpy.

I appreciate all the prayers and good wishes. Hopefully the doctor will have some good new for me tomorrow. :please:

Re: The hazards of trick or treating...
All crossables crossed! ^_^ I hope he at least gets a fun colored cast that can be covered in doodles! Good luck with the doctor and the crutches! I know when I was on crutches I wiped out a couple of times, but nothing too bad. Just hurt pride :P Mostly it was when I was goofing around in the house. I was always really careful outside or when I went anywhere, and if I wasn't I had people making sure I was ^_^ I'm sure he will get the hang of them pretty quickly.
