    I can see from the baby picture why one might mistake it from a normal pastel -- it's not really bright like but it's pastelish for sure. But the one thing we know about Enchis is that they get more beautiful with age -- and it looks as tho yours just needed a little time to come into it's own -- you have solved your mystery.

    Very beautiful snake Heather. The one on the left in your first set of photos is definitely an Enchi. I would definitely say from the baby pic, that it is an Enchi. I have an Enchi that just hatched about 6 days ago that is in shed. Once he sheds, I will take some pics of him and post him up. He looks just like the one in your baby photo. I was surprised to see this Enchi, as the first half of his body is very busy like yours (he is carrying another trait, but I will keep that secret for now). The other Enchis that I hatched this year were more "Enchi" patterned (i.e. more reduced and banded looking), but definitely have the very bright yellow coloration.

    Congrats on the beautiful girl.
