That sucks. I'm flying in Wenesday and staying for a week for a nice sunny vacation. :taz: Thanks for the heads up.

The skies are finally dark here in "Sunny" South Florida. :P I have to admit that I'm excited about it, too. :giggle: I've lived here all my life and I love the mad crazy scramble for supplies and everyone huddling in their homes with candles lit and playing board games and stuff. Of course I also love it when there's a mad scramble for supplies and then it only drizzles. ;) I won't be driving up until Friday afternoon (just in time for the blood symposium) so I shouldn't have too many issues. I hope everyone else has a safe trip, though.

As sick as it sounds we too find it oddly exciting when there is a storm approaching, of course not when its a cat 3+ but these are kinda fun, gives everyone a bit of adrenaline. Ive lived down here my whole life too, even braved Andrew :gj: Where in S. Fla are you? Im in Plantation

Now it has slowed down, and moved further east.... Still no effect on the show, other than those flying in Wed night / Thursday morning.... and those driving south!

I'm in Boca actually. It sucks because I despise city life, but I'm here for school.

Right now they are predicting the storm will be passing well west of Daytona on Wed afternoon.... but truth be told, everything they are predicing now can and probably will change many times over the weekend. No reason to panic, just keep an eye on it, especialy if you are flying in early. The current prediction will cause cancled flights and delays on WED, and that would make Thursay a delayed, frantic "catch up day" Friday would probably be back to normal flight wise.

Hurricane Charlie didn't ruin Daytona in 04 - doubt Tropical Storm Fay will this year.

    Just be safe everyone! :gj:
