when i was new here, i got an infraction before cos i mentioned something..i think i just got used to other forums that were more no-holds-barred.

but the last two times i just got a warning for my violations. so i think they are more lineant now..i mean they couldve given me 2 more infractions for it.:)

Why do you think they've been trigger happy? From one thread? Please explain....

Pretty ridiculous if you ask me for voicing opinions. A guy asked for input, he gave it and everyone gets offended. Grow up people and take a joke.

NO, this is the thread that gave him the rest of the points needed to get banned. He had 2 or 3 previous infractions, and this single thread gave him the last 2 or 3

Please go to this thread to voice your opinions on locked threads and people getting banned lately.

I hope his banning was based on more than the thread last night because I don't think that called for him to be banned.

However! His attitude and "joke" had gone too far. He should have been reprimanded, but not banned. The mods will do as they see fit. I know I for one, would not have liked him coming onto my board and telling me to cut my pet's head off and then saying it was a joke. :colbert:

He was banned on an accumulation of infraction points. So no, it wasn't "that one thread".

As was previously stated Johns bann was due to a collection of infraction points he had received from multiple posts/threads or multiple infractions in a single post.

The staff tries very hard to keep a fair and even keel when it comes to how we over see the site. remember that you must receive 100 infraction points before getting a temp bann. John had reached this limit so to be fair our rules which he knows say that a bann is the result of his actions. It was not a malicious act by the staff or some sort of vendetta towards John but merely a direct result of his disregard for the site rules.

I personally wasnt a fan of how Jas presented his information. He has a lot of knowledge on BP's, breeding, care, and everything else that deals with snakes... With that said hes still a member and still needs to follow the rules we all abide by. For someone whose an adult he failed to show his maturity several times.

I admitt that I get off this forum after reading some posts biting my lip and saying things that would get me banned here... Difference is I don't post them here bc I'm an adult and thats how an adult handles a situation. If I posted everything I thought I would have been banned quite some time ago. Jas is stongly set in his views and voicing his opinion but there comes a time where you need to draw the line.

I didnt get in on the post he was banned from but I do support Jas' original advice to put the deformed babies in a freezer... he clearly stated his comment was a joke and after reading his post there was no room for misjudgement... it was a joke.

The Mods here have had issues with me in the past which is fine... not everyones going to like me and I'm not going to like everyone, I understand that... with that said I do my best at keeping my personal views to myself and making sure what I post is not going to get me in trouble... thats how an adult is supposed to conduct themselves and multiple times Jas failed to conduct himself in such a manner... you play with fire, its only a matter of time before you get burned.
