    It seems to me that most snake twins are fraternal - coming from 2 different fertilized eggs. After ovulation, if the follicles are right next to each other, I assume the egg shell forms around both follicles forming twins. I don't think this would be genetic??

    Anyone ever heard of possible identical twins? (same sex, very similar patterns?)
