Morphs are gorgeous and are difficult to compare to normals IMO, both are beautiful but in very different ways. Morphs tend to be more eye catching and photographable. Since this is mostly a ball-python site I don't see the harm in doing two categories - but we do have a few categories already and I have no idea how admins would feel about this.

Well if we keep seeing this high volume of entries, they will have no choice :P Could maybe keep BPOM as-is, and then have it split in 2 sub-categories just for a fun, seperate poll...

We've actually had a lot of "normals" win BPOM. It's really as much about the photograph itself as it is about the animal's genetics. We don't have any intentions of starting up any new permanent contests at this time. However, we have in the past...and will do so again in the near future...used the POTM theme for Ball Python Morphs. So every once in a while, the BPOM catagory will be all normals. ;)

Very, very true. I guess instead of buying a new morph of bp, I should buy another new camera;) Just kidding. I noticed that whenever I go through the pictures when voting time comes around, the morphs always stand out more IMO, unless the photos with the normals are super-creative. But if I had a gorgeous bumblebee - I would post more pictures of him/her over my normal, as much as I love him.
