He was born Oct. 2006 and his weight today is 1000grams. Is this good for a male of this age? (if not too high/low)
He just took a small rat 3 days ago.
Thanks for any input
I think it's a good weight. You will be able to tell just from the roundness of him in comparison to his whole body. I think my 06 female is around 1200... of course it might be 1300 now. I'm so horrible at remembering!

I forgot to mention, mine are Sumatran short tailed's. Not brongersmai. I have no idea if brongersmai grow faster.

Yeah mines a malaysian brongersmai. He had a little bit of flabby skin a while back. And I upped his food a tiny bit. And it went away. No prominent spine. And not fat. Just thick.

He is nice and round though seems a little boney (can feel his spine and see a slight ridge)...think I will up his feedings for a few weeks just to fill him out.

Yes that's right. 3400 grams. He was taking smalls when I got him. 2 a week. And he's now on medium to largish medium rats. He could handle much more. But I don't want to powerfeed him.
Look at snakey68's 3 year old male. He's like 5-6 feet long and over 20 pounds. So they get big.

My girl and boys spine are prominent but not skinny and far out there. I could be horribly wrong about this considering it's what I've been going off of for a long time, but I'm sure you want to be able to see the spine unlike BP's.
I'll have to do some double checking now that I'm doubting myself. I'm always worried about mine turning into those HUMONGOUS giant sausage snakes everyone always so proudly posts on forums. I think it's sorta disgusting they let the animal get so fat. With such aggressive feeding responses, I sometimes wonder myself if I'm not feeding my girl enough... but she's doing well so far and looks healthy. I'd rather her grow slow and develop well with no huge fat stores than turn into a sausage snake.

I know they can get big...just 2400 grams difference between yours and mine seems a lot (at relatively the same age - so I was wondering where the happy medium is - is yours too big or mine too small?)
