Re: Need Help Fast!
He got it out in the box on the way. I opened up the box and the piece of aspen was there sittin' close to him. Then I opened his mouth up and he took a look and said all was clear and he looked good :gj:

I'm sorry, I know you probably weren't trying to order anybody to do anything, (hence the ;) ) but I hear this a lot when It really has nothing to do with anything.
If feeding in the tank causes the snake to get substrate in his mouth, why not take them out? Sometimes changing substrate isn't an option (long shot, I know), and other times people just don't want to for looks, and would rather feed outside.
I mean, when I posted a video, I thought was fun, most of what I got was "Don't feed him in a seperate tank, and the food is too small". The food may be too small (kinda hard to judge at the pet shop), but feeding in a different tank is preference I would imagine.
Sure your snake may not eat when you take him out, but if it hasn't failed... don't stop. Even if it does fail 1 or 2 times, from what I've gathered, really has nothing to do with taking him out, but more along the lines of where he stays when he's not feeding.
I'm sorry I had to rant, but people correcting people on where they feed their snakes ALL THE TIME gets kinda old.
Sorry for the rant, I'm kinda new, but this seems to be one thing that gets said a bunch and sometimes doesn't need to be.
Back on Topic: Let us know how your snake does, it's sad to hear about a sad snake.
You are correct at one thing. Its true that sometimes advice gets repeated numerous times over and over here.Would you like to know the number one reason why? Whenever a newbie needs advice right now we are prone to give out the advice that has been proving over and over.Have you ever had a snake regurge a meal? Its not something you want nor if it happens you will never forget the smell :puke2:.If you remove a snake from its home then place it in another enclosure then place it back after feeding you are upsetting its stomach by unneccesary movements. What is the first thing a snake does after eating? Well mine goes straight for his heat.He knows it helps breakdown his meal.We are all here to learn from one another.Lets all get along ;)

I'm really saying, when someone shows a snake feeding out of the tank or even mentions it.. there is ALWAYS someone there to correct them for doing it. Now, if it was going to KILL your snake, then immediatly tell the person and send them a million PMs.
You know what I mean? I don't want to start a fight, because I really enjoy being here, just maybe lay off the "feed him in his tank" bit on some of the threads where nobody asked or it isn't a threat to the animal at the time.
Sorry to the OP for going off track, I really do hope your snake makes a good recovery.
:salute:
Why lay off passing out good advice? What happens if a newbie comes here and asks is it ok to feed outside its home and he/she does and thier snake regurges. Why not prevent this in the start and let them know our knowledge on its bad side? Majority of the members here feed inside the snakes enclosure.Maybe its because its been shown over and over it works to your snakes advantage and thats what counts. No matter how many times its repeated here ;)

It could have been easily removed but the owner decided otherwise. Now i am not knocking him/her(dont know which the owner is sorry) infact it shows he/she cares more about the snake then money at a time of need .So i give him/her a :gj: :gj:

Re: Need Help Fast!
You could have gotten the Aspen out with tweezers... Taking him to the vet was unnecessary if he wasn't hurt.
