So I take it I'm not the only one who's taken a certain malicious pleasure in tossing in a mouse that's just bitten the crap out of me?

I certainly do NOT enjoy feeding day.. i know they have to eat but i dont take any pleasure in the process. i take the utmost care of my feeders before dinner day, they are housed in nice enclosures with running wheels, fresh food/water, hides, chew things, exc.. happy mouse makes healthier meal IMO. everything deserves some diginity before it has to die. i certainly do not find any malicious pleasure in it. I have less compassion if im bitten by them of course but thats why we use feeding tongs and i can understand them biting.. for goodness sake they are about to be someones dinner! It feels like im part of the hostel movie everytime feeding day comes around. :weirdface but thats my spin on things...

Well, I don't do a dance of joy either. I don't enjoy their suffering, I just kind of think to myself "Little jerk, try and bite him!" I've just always been one of those people that roots for the lion instead of the antelope, or the croc instead of the zebra. It's all part of the food chain. If I got a guilt trip every time I fed a mouse to a snake I'd be a basket case by now.

I feed frozen now for the most part, so it's a moot point really...I just don't want to come across a bloodthirsty fiend.

I don't think I have any emotion, really, towards it much at all. I choose to keep snakes, snakes eat rats, I feed rats to the snakes. Not really much emotion going on there; just the food chain in action... :weirdface

    Snakes > Rats.

I don't say "enjoy" the rat dying, but I do however really enjoy when Vincent eats. I try to be gentle to the rat, but I don't really feel bad for it in any way.
