Thats a very good theory. Would that also be why some people say to lightly mist the enclosure and snakes when you introduce them?

I think that humid air carries scent better. Remember, you could have a hurricane coming your way and the barometric pressure could be in the basement, but if the female is not ready and not giving off pheromones, nothing is going to happen.

SO what do you do if it rarely rains where you live :( I can't get any action going on over here..
