Yeah spending over an hour debating whether or not to call the police is never a good idea. It’s best to call them immediately so they can arrive on scene to them fighting because more times then not the female will deny everything or down play the whole situation after she has thought about it. If the officer sees marks he will take the other person into custody and that’s how officers get a frying pan to the head.

If this is true you went about this the wrong way. You don't need your parent’s permission to call 911

I would call the cops. I know of a few situations in the past that this was not done in, and things escalated beyond a normal argument.
