Adult ball racks

    Hi,

    I've been thinking about this as well and have a few ideas I'd like feedback on;

    a) Support struts on the back edge in a few points

    And,

    b) Recessing in a piece of angle iron along the front of the shelves and fixing it in with screws.


    Do you think either of those would help if a rack started to sag?

    Well I am thinking if you put a back on it and screw into each level it should keep it from sagging. It appears that the shelves are sagging in the center and the back should keep that from happening

    I agree that a peice of wood covering the back would do wonders to strengthen your rack. It doesn't even have to be a thick peice of wood. A thin peice of panel board would be a perfect match.

    I definately have to retrofit ours with a "spine" in back. I was thinking of getting casters and just doing both things. Kinda like cleaning a dog's teeth while it is already under anaesthesia for another procedure? :)
