What fun pictures! Thanks for sharing!! That video is especially cute! The one tort is seriously stingy with the pumpkin...wants it all to himself! Who knew???

And I think your hair is very pretty. Unless you're in the military or something, I really can't understand someone getting upset enough about it to demand it be changed. But I guess the world is full of people with way too little to worry about.

Those are great pics!!! I love going to the zoo, but the one closest to me is really bad (definitely don't go to Norfolk,VA to see the zoo...although they did have a lion cub born there recently so I may have to go just to look at the new cub!!:P).

I love your hair too, but they wouldn't allow it at my work either.:(

Haha I know. I was cracking up watching them fight over it.

Thanks for the support about the hair guys, too. I work at a teaching hopsital run by state government so most of the people that work there are a bunch overly conservative lazy women with no sense of style or creativity, so go figure.

I had an old employer try the same garbage on me. I took it over her head with a copy of the dress code, information from my own boss who stated it was always well kept etc. Technically beyond safety needs for a hair net or up do they can't legally do anything to you. They dropped it when I stated that if they were going to enforce it against me it would have to be added to the official dress code and because it was currently they would be compensating me for the hair dresser bill. I was doing main reception at a very uptight company at the time... I got sent home once because I wore a skirt suit and nylons which you could just barely see the tattoo I have on the inside of one ankle, and was permanently restricted to pants regardless of how hot it was outside. I never got sent home again though because the hr tyrant was the one doing my job for the 3 hours it took me to bus home across the city :)

We loved the tortoise clip. Ours go after their groceries so aggressively it is comical to watch.:) Every move is so slow and deliberate.

Amy, you'll get a laugh out of this then hon.

Years ago when I was all of 18 I had my first big job as a clerk in a very, VERY conservative stock brockerage company. They had rules for length of skirts, color of stockings, you name it they thought up a rule for it (the guys had similar rules about color of shirts, type of ties, etc.). You had to sign a darn document stating you understood and would comply...yadda....yadda. One of their rules was about conservative hair styles and color.

Well I decide one boring Saturday night that I will lighten up my dark brown hair. It was down to my waist at the time and I was just bored with it all. I happily buy some product or other and slap it on my hair...fully expecting a lovely sort of lightish brown color with maybe a nice hint of auburn.

Imagine my *cough* surprise when my haired turned...

    PEACH!

Yep peach, not auburn, not bloody well orange....PEACH! Miles and miles of peachy hair and I'm now in tears and having a fit because of course there's no hair salon open and I have to go to work Monday morning! No way is waist length peach hair going to fly with the big boss.

So off my poor brother-in-law goes to locate an all night pharmacy and buy me dark brown hair dye. My sister saved my job though it was months before my poor hair recovered from the double dye job. My family teased me about it for years afterwards! Thankfully no one was mean enough to take pictures LOL.

That is hilarious. I dyed my hair once myself and ended up with a carrot top  NEVER AGAIN!

I know :D I've wanted a pair for YEARS now! No one has successfully reproduced them in captivity as of yet! Just adds to the whole 'want' factor :P
