Re: Thank you poop gods.....and Kara lol.
Update on my boy. As said earlier he's been soaking the last 2 nights. He went from 1525 grams to 1575 grams overnight.
I check on him last night and then this morning. He went from 1575 grams last night to 1650 grams this morning. I wonder what's he got in store for me. That's 125 grams of water in about 2 days. And then today is feeding day!!!
Or maybe he just realized that big bowl in his tub has water in it. Haha
Re: Thank you poop gods.....and Kara lol.
my little baby short tail soaked everyday for a week straight, then one day he let out some poo nearly as long as him! These suckers can hold it it.... now he's just a baby. I have nightmares about what jade has in store for me... its like a building storm. Can you feel that dark electric vibe building? I can... and I'm hiding...
Re: Thank you poop gods.....and Kara lol.
Hahah yeah when they go they can really let it loose!!!
I don't feel any urates or poo in his tail end. So I don't think he's gonna pass anything just yet. Maybe he will who knows.
I think he just found out he can get in his bowl. And is soaking up some much needed hydration.
Re: Thank you poop gods.....and Kara lol.
Mine did not poop, or urate since I got him at Daytona, that was in August.
Then about 3 days ago she pooped like a horse, lol.
I wasnt worried tho, not even for a minute, cuz i heard these guys hold it in, lol.
Re: Thank you poop gods.....and Kara lol.
Ok my Blood hasn't dropped in a while now. His humidity is fine and I've been soaking him. He drinks after he eats to. He seems fine but do you guys think I should take him to the vet just to be safe?
These guys sure can bring on the worry.
Re: Thank you poop gods.....and Kara lol.
Well how long is a while? Have you felt any hard masses in his tail to cause worry (like it may be constipation)?
I always recommend a vet visit if you start to worry that much. If he's due to shed soon, you could wait and see if he drops a load then.

Probably 6-7 months. Maybe longer.
I can't feel any lumps but when you look at the last quarter of him he appears...full. :weirdface
I don't know, everyone else's snakes are a crappin but mine! I feel left out.
Re: Thank you poop gods.....and Kara lol.
yea, that does seem like a while :O. I would play on the safe side and see what a vet says about it. (of course, make sure they know about the bloods expected pooing schedule just so they dont flip out)
[edit]
Did a quick search on vpi and this is what I found

I have never seen a constipated blood. It might happen, and maybe this is what yours is doing , but I doubt it. We regularly have them go 4-6 months without defecating when they are about 1-3 years of age. Why they don't defecate often at this age, I don't know--but they don't.
If you need for her to defecate, then "swim" her--put her in deep warm water (maybe about a foot deep) and make her swim. Don't make the water too warm, about 83-87 degrees F will do nicely. Don't leave her unsupervised and don't leave her in the water for more than five or ten minutes. Usually a blood will decide to defecate in a few minutes. But I wouldn't worry, and I wouldn't bother. Re: Thank you poop gods.....and Kara lol.
My guy hasn't gone in about 2 months. And I hear ya. He's looking pretty full. Last time he was like this he just one day dropped a doo doo that caused a power outage. Haha
Try the swim technique if your really concerned. I probably would if it was mine. But that's just me.
I'm gonna guess they're just growing the most this time in they're lives. And they need all the food they can get.
