So sorry to hear about your little one! :tears: :depressed :tears:

My guys do that so often i was terrified they would suffer the same fate. I hung a reptile hammock just in case.

I really hope you decide to open your heart to another BP. Showing another animal your love and affection may help the healing process over the loss of your baby boy.

it was yes but dont u think its kinda odd that he falls like 3 inches and dies.. either theres sumthing rong with him n he had like a heart attack on the branch or the owner had sumthing to do with it on accident and cant admit it.. i said sry for the loss n i mean it but its just odd that it would die

First of all, I would like to say that I am sorry for your loss. It sucks to loose a very special reptilian friend.

But, ...... I would like to add that it is highly unlikely that he died from a fall. I have heard stories of snakes that got dropped from much higher surfaces or slung across the room when someone accidently panicked when they were bit, and no detrimental effects. I would have reason to believe that it could have been a husbandry issue. Where did you buy him from??? Did you happen to have any chemicals on your hands or fuming through the room?? What kind of substrate did you use???
Many questions here that could hold the answer other than your deduction.

yeah i definitely doubt the fall killed it.
one of mine sustained a fall and it didn't even phase him.

Yes it's a bit odd, however... If such was true, it STILL wouldn't be our place to condemn him for it. Shoot... Even if he dropped him off a balcony to a busy street below, what good would it do to berate him? I'm sure he'd feel pretty terrible about it. Our job is to comfort him, and pay our respects to the dead, because in the end, thats what really matters. Besides, I other than the fact that his initial assumption was that the snake died in a fall from a 1ft tall branch, there is no reason to believe a fall from ANY height was responsible. As Mpenn said, it could very well have been another problem, such as airborn toxins etc. So no need to start bashing the OP for one of YOUR assumptions....

Beer I am so sorry that you had to say that man. I was under the assumption that this was a stand up group, at very least non-malicious. I am gonna say this once and only once ok so listen up................

I DONT KNOW WHAT THE "F" HAPPEND, IF I HAD THE FUNDS TO TAKE HIS BODY TO THE VET TO BE DISECTED AND ANAYLIZED I WOULD, BUT I DONT. THE CULINARY INDUSTRY DOESN'T PAY THAT WELL, AT LEAST NOT AT MIDDLE MANAGEMENT LEVEL. THIS IN A THREAD OF MOURNING AND I WILL KEEP IT THAT WAY. ANYONE ELSE WHO TAKES A SHOT AT ME LIKE BEER DID WILL BE REPORTED (Tank You Very Much)
