I took Business Law last semester so I know a thing or two about affirmitive action.
What the statute basically says is that in the circumstance there is a minority and a white, who ar equally qualified, applying for the same position, the minority must be hired. There are certain other criteria and I believe that the law applys for women as well, but that's the basic jist of it.
Just letting you know so that you are better informed on the issue.
As for the anti-racists, I totally agree with what they are doing. Its awesome. The way I look at racism is, even if one takes morals and ethics out of the equation, and look at racism in a pragmatic way, one is still going to benefit by not being racist. In all honosty, one is not going to get far in life by being racist. You never know what color your next boss is going to be. Or what religion your co-workers might be. Prejudices are ignorant and in no way help to advance society. I might as well say I hate brown eyed people. Its ludacris.

Well, I'm not middle aged but I *do* have white hair that I love to color from time to time.
Now you're going to need a spokesperson... a "PR guy" so I volunteer for the position... I've got a big mouth, know how to get people's attention and can usually be *at least* as obnoxious as most action groups. :D
The first thing that will need to be done is this new "movement" will need an official name... an "ism". ;)

Strictly according to law, that is true, however in real life, it doesn't always work that way.
Example:
You have a white person, African American person and a physically disabled person...
If all three are equally qualified for the job, the employer will hire whoever will fill their mandatory quota of "minorities" first.
If the three do *not* have equal qualifications but all are exceptable for the job, although one may be more qualified for the job than another; the employer will look at his/her minority quota *first* and see what needs to be filled. If he/she does not have enough African Americans employed, that person will be hired.
If the quota of disabled is lacking, that person will be hired.
If all minority requirements are filled, the white person will be hired... unless one of the others is better qualified for the position.
Often times, depending on where a person lives and who the employer is will depend on who is hired. There are indeed many times when a white will be hired even though a Native American or woman (of whatever race) is more qualified.
