In a nutshell, once it dries, it's completely safe AND still effective even after cleaning.

Anyone still think Equate is better? LMAO!

    Hope that helps.

can i spray the PAM on a rag, then rub it on the snake avoiding the eyes, mouth, nose & vents?

EdShal, I don't think that would be a good idea. QT your snake and treat it's enclosure. Follow the directions on the can.

    thanks, slim.

the direction on the can is rather confusing. hhehee..

my snake doesnt have mite tho... but as my order of the can just arrive... can i use it as a preventive measures kinda thing? advices?

basically, this is my plan of attack if i got a mite infestion. we just let the mite on the snake. Then a 15-20mins warm bath & drink for the snake, then a 15-20mins diluted betadine solution bath. then we PAM spray the tank, hides & covers (excluding waterbowls) scrubbing the sides, cornes everything & try to cover the PAM all over. Give it time to dry, and no clouds or mist are left. to be save give it a couple of hour to dry-up and ventilate. then put in snake back. repeat a 2nd procedure after 2 weeks, for a total mite-free enviroment. Did i summarised that correctly?

My herp vet always tells me to use olive oil on my snakes instead of any spray. But that is directly for the snake not for the enclosure. He said that olive oil helps drown them and is not harmful at all.
I use this http://www.petdiscounters.com/Mite-G...der-p7758.html for the habitats and it works really well. I especially rub it into the edges and corners. I usually use the spray for the snakes themselves. My vet approved. Now I don't use the dust for my hoggie or my sandboa since they both like to bury and dig so I just use the spray on their tanks every cleaning which is usually once to twice a week.

Spray for two seconds moving the can the length of the enclosure to cover the substrate. you dont need much.

Let it sit for about 10 seconds, waving your hand over the substrate to get rid of the fumes.

Place snake back in tub, and done!

    Its really simple!
