Didn't he refer to the team or the college by name? He never singled out individuals, but I seem to recall he made a school reference.

So? He was making fun of a team of indeed very rough-looking girls. It was a joke. He wasn't trying to make fun of any certain girl, or calling names. I honestly don't think it was intended to be any kind of racial slur. I think it was blown WAY out of proportion and of course good ol' Al and Jessie jumped on the bandwagon.

He referred to the school because he wanted the opposing team to win. Had this whole thing happened right after Vtech NO ONE would be talking about it. A black guy got on CNN i believe and said the most intelligent things to sum up the whole debate, basically Al Sharpton is an arse-head and that if those girls are going to let some old dude who, they didnt even know about the comments until SOME ONE TOLD THEM-they'd never even heard of the guy before!-control their life, then he wins.

the point that baffles me the most is he is a SHOCK JOCK RADIO HOST.

in all honesty, why Imus didnt sue his employer is beyond me. That was his job, to push barriers.

And dont you know it, all of the girls on that team were not black. So. The point is moot.

I hope the case gets tossed out on its ear.
