Re: How to pick up bp from enclosure?
If one of mine is in the "S" position, I gently tap them in the head/face area with an empty water bottle. If I were to put my hands right into the tub with, say, Ginger (breeder female) she would instantly bite, latch on, and coil. By letting her know that it is not feeding time, I can easily pick her up once she recoils her head and gets into a more neutral position.

    jennifer,

thats a great idea to use when the BP is in a S position. ill rember to use tht method instead of sticking my hand stright into the tank and getting some nice bites. if i do get bitten ill be sure to post some pics of it. if i can ill get pics of the snake still latched on and me shaking going. ouch this is painful :P

any how, to the other question, yes if ur snake is lazy thats normal. mine is bit active at the moment becasue he is under going treatment of internal parisites, and at the same time being given some vitimins =), montys routine is this -

6am - i get up and raise temp to daytime temp (about 5-7C hotter) then he comes out and basks for a while, lies in the water bowl for about 20 mins. then goes back to sleep.

    6pm - feeding time *once a week*

10pm - 2am - moves in cage to the UTH section for a while then back

all time tht is not listed he is asleep..god i wish i could be that lazy. well offf to bed with me now =-)
