I look forward to seeing the pics - I can't get the others to show anything unusual.:(

I went by Michael's table (Ballroom Python South) at the Orlando show this morning and saw the "emerald jewels". They do have an interesting color on their sides and bellies. Michael was quick to point out that they had not been proven genetic . . . just cool looking fancy normals for right now.

If I had the space and the time, I wouldn't mind picking up a couple to grow up and see if they prove out. At worst I'd have a couple of very nice looking normals and if they prove to be genetic, a new color to add to the mix. When you consider they were selling them for the price of a fancy normal, not a bad deal at all IMHO.

They are captive hatched imports, if you click on the info about emerald jewels he states they are ch imports, nothing proven yet and nothing promised.

I think you just need to watch the wording. The "Shotgun pattern with less striping" wouldn't be as confusing. To me the green emeralds look like normals, but I am highly aware that some traits don't come out in pictures very well. I'd love to see some in person, and didn't know about the show this weekend unfortunately. But then, I'm sick anyway, don't need to make a drive down to orlando while ill.
The site DID state "Not proven" and that makes it fine with me. Yellowbellies were "Not proven, possible new morph" a few years ago, and the traits are subtle with them too. Maybe these greens also look subtly different in person?
I hope those prove out for you and all!
    Dinking projects are always fun!

i think some people are just wanting to jump on anything..while at the show today i heard of one person calling another vender to see who i was

yes the green does look different in person..it is a very subtle trait..those who seen it this weekend all agreed

    thanks tim
