Here's a thread on housing more than one BP together that would be a good read for newer members:

Way to small!!! I have snakes that are a few months old that way that much...She should be more than double that weight...

You need to feed her rats...

that migth be why she is hyper active, if she is hungry she might be out looking for food. I fed max two fuzzies in two weeks and was thinking i might be feeding him too small of food. and when it was getting close to time to feed him again he was all over his cage, not sitting still and constantly moving. and the board suggested i get a bigger mouse. So i went with a medium. after that he back to his normal "i like my hide and im never leaving" state...get to feed him again today when i get off work actually :D :D :D

might wanna try bigger food and see if she moves around less.

Also, where can you get a good scale for a decent price?

What are her exact temps, in her cage.. and do they fluctuate? Is her cage in an area of the room that gets sunlight that could be Upping her temperatures?

This is way too small?? My girl is about a year old (the person that helped me with her when I bought her didn't konw for sure when she was hatched) and when I weighted her about 2 weeks ago she was almost at 300 grams. She weighed 255 or so (I'm not sure just how accurate my scale it) when I got her, but she had been fed not too long before. What is a good weight for a year plus a little ball python then?

I don't know about her lenght...I couldn't ever get her to cooperate... ^_^

i have seen those pics before. also i warned my friend about that but they seem happy i mean they both have there own basking spots, and never seem to cross paths. they were both corantined and checked for parasites and they are both 100% healthy so if it works for her then i guesss she could keep it like that. i warned her and she said she knows the risk but why change something thats been like thats for 4 years now. she is moving going to start builfing a whole room set up for the 2 of them with a sprinkler system, drainange and a kiddie pool with a filter. live plants and all. jjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjj. sorry my ferret poe jumped on the keyboard she says hi everyone. also my montanas cage is only half way done i still have alot of things i want to get for it more foliage and i need a humid hide i cant get my humidity to stay at a constant 60% i was thinking about getting an air stone and air pump like you use for the fish tanks with a valve to control the bubbling so it will stay at a constant 60% and then bump it up a bit to 70 when she starts to shed. do you think this would be a good idea or should i just use a humid hide??

and thank you all for you help and my monty, she thanks you too because she said yay now i get to be handled all the time sept for shedding and 48 hours after eating. and so you all know its a 40 gallon breeder tank that i got for free from my petco i work since the screen had a slight tear in it. they told me to rtv it which means return to vendor. which also means it goes in the trash well i said forget that im taking it home. so i did i fixed the screen and now all is dandy. and thank you for all the responses. and yea i guess.

the temps in my girls cage stay at a constand 92 on the basking 85 in the middle and 75 on the cool during the day. night it stays at a constand 85 on the basking 75 in the middle of the tank and 67 on the cool end. she is not near a window at all i make sure all my cages are set away from a window so i wont get extra heat.

lol rats i cant feed my montana rats shes only taking down adult mice and eats 2 a week. and shes not real big around but shes not dehydrated and she eats constantly when i took her to the vet she weighed in at 225 grams and the vet said she was only a gram and a half off normal weight.

so if there are anymore questions about my parenting or any more advice out there please share with me.

Actually, Monty would thank you if you didn't handle her all the time. For a private shy creature as a ball python, I can assure you that she doesn't "enjoy" being handled all the time, she simply tolerates it. The enjoyment is yours, not hers.

This is not a puppy or a kitten, she doesn't desire the constant interaction, and while you are not experiencing any problems right now in her feeding, I suspect that you are going to run into some problems sooner rather than later (not feeding consistently for example).

Enjoy your snake, but respect her too.

Sure you can - rat pups are approximately the same size as adult mice - you just have to find a source for them! :)
