It's always best to try and PROVE your responsible at that age. Kids often lose interest in things they previously found CRUCIAL (I did A LOT...violin...gymnastics...ballet...the list goes on). Now as a parent and teacher if I see a kids working their tail off to earn something I'm more willing to help out. Maybe get the job and see if your mom will match a portion of what you earn.
I know of a pet store in Aspen Hill that hired a 14 year old girl a few years back with a permit. It's called Totally Fish on Georgia Avenue. Check it out and get your work permit. It's worth a shot! They have a small reptile room but have a lot of different species. Good luck!

I've been collecting comics for years now. I've got a small fortune now with the help of my dad. First daredevil, second spiderman, first silver surfer. Alot of help is comming from all these movies too, silver surfer is in th enext spiderman or something so that'll boost up prices. But moving them is hard, I know. I usually use ebay if im selling any. :carrot:
