I agree about the morphs, and I'm sure a handfull of morphs were discovered by accident from a freaky looking import, but I think that's a very small percentage which is why I'm against importing WC normal adults. I cringe whenever I see them offering WC gravid females, and I have to wonder how many WC's end up dead because people can't get them to eat or for other reasons. :(

Re: Look at the size of this female!
I personally would never spend money on a WC BP, period. Unless it was acclimated fully, eating in captivity and parasite-free.. now, if it were a freebie given to me, I might be tempted to give it a shot.. better than someone getting it that had never kept one before..

And an equal amount of reviews that say the same as I do about the mites. When I called them to tell them the snake had mites the woman had no interest in the situation and offered nothing to me in compensation. All I got was an "oh" and the person on the phone hung up.

Re: Look at the size of this female!
Even in the photos, it looks like the snake has scarring and possibly ticks.. makes me think that it hasn't been in captivity long enough to have had several good sheds and be acclimated..

Re: Look at the size of this female!
She's a beautiful animal. You take a chance on a freshly imported snake. But then people rarely sell a 5000 gram female that doesn't have 'issues' like throwing duds, not eating, getting RIs. Imports usually have issues, but it's not super necessaily so.
Would I pay $1000.oo for her? No. I have several normals breeding size, and several more that will be breeding size next year. But that doesn't mean someone else won't.
I'll eventually be selling some of the normals as I replace them with hets and morphs, and I'll be sure to offer them first to those that deserve to catch a break.
Last year I got a great deal on some adult normal females.. and when I received them, they had all just laid. Since they were advertised as "Breeding size" and not "Breedable" I couldn't say much. At least it was a good price.
My point is(as I ramble on) that the animal might be worth $1K to someone, if she ISN'T worth it to you, so what? That's not reason to disparage the animal or the ad.
The WC importation is an issue, and I think until we produce enough CBB animals, they will continue to import animals, with the WC gravid females being a draw. Just because you just don't know what will hatch. That next $100K morph would pop out of an egg in YOUR incubator. From ANY snake. It's one of the draws of Ball pythons I think.

I am having trouble figuring out your point here. Tmlowe is talking about person experience with THIS seller. Others are voicing their opinions about WC animals. I personally thinks its disgusting that people continue to import WC normals. But that is my opinion and I think I have the right to voice it. Incidentally, I think the days of $100,000 morphs is over. :)

Didn't the paradox crystal ball sell for around $100k?
