I understand Jen. I hate when my husband goes out of town. I live in a nice neighborhood, have two dogs, and have an alarm system. Do I sleep well when I'm alone? NOOOOOOO..... My dogs go up and down the stairs at night and freak me out, and the attic is a source of some creepy sounds. Even worse knowing it's my responsibilty to protect my two small children.

Thankfully, my husband is home now! (although I think it's likely he's coming down with the strep we all had last week) I'm finally sleeping good tonight. :D

I love the creepiness of our house. All the animal sounds, sounds like footsteps and doors closing. The 22 mannequins we live with look live in the dark. At times the light plays tricks and it appears that they move slightly. We found an old insurance sign in the attic which appeared to have dust over 50 yrs old on it.

we both feel someone is here. We call him Ralph from a dream I had. When we ripped out old walls , business cards from when phones had only 5 digits fell out of the ceiling. All had the name R. Brown. Looked up city records no R. brown lived here. But did find out that a person here witnessed a violent murder next store. I don't really believe in ghosts, but would love to find that we have our own. It really intrigues me.:D

I'm never gonna be able to sleep tonight. I'm all freaked out now. It's a good thing I like a fairly new apartment and there are no creepy sounds here.

Well, I made it through, lol. I really don't get any bad vibes from the house here (an old farmhouse.) If anything, a vague, motherlike presence, maybe an older woman who used to have our bedroom? But, out in the barn is an angry male presence. Turns out, a farmer died out in the old barn; he succombed to methane gas fumes in one of the silos.
My best friend is my "psychic." I consulted with her before moving from our last apartment into the house we now rent. She gave me the info that our new place would be owned by a single, middle-aged, fair-haired man who would never marry.. week or two later, I call a vague description of a farm/house for rent.. and our now-landlord fit this bill to a tee. It must be tough for her, b/c if I ask her to do a reading, she tries to be honest, but I guess she would not want to hurt me with any bad news, so I only really consult her in that regard if I need to.
It is simple for people to doubt the paranormal/unknown until it smacks you right in the face and proves its presence to you! I love exchanging ghost/psychic experiences; please do tell if you have more!
Blu; I would pay to see the face of any robber/intruder that happened by your house! If he saw those mannequins; he would be out the door in a second! Here, we have stuffed marshmallow Peeps in every room; I guess that'd freak someone out! That, or the gun-toting girl with PMS (that'd be me..)

I am exspecialy scared of bieng home, I alway have my dog with me. He is a warning/protecter, just in case. It could have to do with my house bieng robbed and people making noises out side when I was a babie? I used to have sleep problems because of it. I am alot better know...but storms scare the hebbie jeebies out of me. I am afriad of someything that can't hurt me, but i love giant constrictors? I am crazy..lol.:carrot:

I'm totally not scared to be home alone, I won't lie I used to be when I first moved out.

Although my dogs do give me some sense of security. Not sure too many theives want to take a chance on a house with 3 Pitbulls.

I've seriously had a few UPS guys ring my door bell then actually take off running to their truck when they hear them start to bark.
