    Re: Any fishermen/Women? Hunters?
I commercial fished for over 20 years. I like fishing rod and reel. I used to tie flies, although I can't fly fish. Around here catfish, bream, and bass are the main thing for me. I also fish the intercoastal waterway(since my aunt lives ON it) and have ONCE fished out of a kayak out in the Intercoastal waterway. I'll never kayak again, although I don't mind fishing.
Hunting, I do when I have the time to go. Deer and turkey, although I'm toying with the idea of going after pig. I'd LOVE to go after elk sometime or other, and carabou sometime or other. I don't quail hunt since it's just too hard to clean all that mess for that small amount of meat.

I agree on the quail.. I cooked 4 once, and my mum and I were still quite hungry afterwards.. boning the darn things took so long we could have eaten a turkey after all the work. LOL

I'm a Chesapeake Bay girl all the way. I used to go Rock fishing with my dad on the Patuxent River, and I love to go crabbing as well. You can't beat Blue Crabs! I've also gone fishing from Panama City, and caught a lot of yellow and red snappers and an little eel. I love just being out on the water.

Let's see... I commercial fished for over 20 years(blue crab and eel BTW) and then I worked at a lumberyard, became the yard boss, then started grooming dogs and cats. Now I own the grooming shop, and I've bred bettas, seahorses, and yorkshire terriers. Now I'm hoping to break into ball pythons, got a 4 egg clutch hatched last year.
Nothing beats soft-shelled blue crabs dried up too.. ever had those Christie?

Hey me too. I grew up fishing on the bay. My dad still has a boat on the bay. He keeps it down near Herring bay on Rockhold creek.
What part of the Patuxent River ?

No. :disbelief My grandmother used to eat soft shelled crab sandwichs, and the legs stickout out of the bread freaked me out. :bolt:
