It's one of my favorites .... pavlovian, as well as polymorphic and ontogenetic ... they're words that I use a lot in my line of work. ;) :sweeet:

Haha I agree. My granite python is cool as can be, but feeding time I call him "The Berzerker".

I really do believe this! When I started working at the shop with the BP's I was the "new alien" to all the snakes I guess you could say. I look, smell , and do things different then what Chris does. The snakes know who Chris is. They normally don't pull what they did with me towards him. When I started in... I got a lot of very interested big girls who came out and looked out there tub windows at me working. A few even followed me back and forth when I walked by. Cleaning day came and man oh man did I get struck at a lot and some even told me all about it by hissing. A few just wanted to investigate me which I didn't mind at all.

Now most just let me be and put up with me messing with them since I guess they now know I'm "ok" and not going to hurt them. Today 98% of them were just fine while I did a change out on their tubs... though the last rack out of the 05 normal females.... they just wanted to eat my face or hiss as loud as possible.. or both! Then again - they are moody little girls with me. I don't know how they are with Chris, since I've yet to really work around them all that much. So that may have something to do with it.

Exactly! She's holding a sai with her tail, I shouldn't have cropped so much.

    -Blinks.- Wow...Just wow.

    Fun for the scale kids:

Ophelia: She likes helping me upload pictures onto photobucket and watching movies.

Hadrian: Likes trying to strike at my ass. O_O I swear to God, that evil boy goes after me every time I move near him, and it's only when I turn my backside at him.

Lucius: Playing in his vines. He must be part tree python or something. He's definitely got arboreal tendencies.

Odysseus: Eating. My little beastie is eatin' soooo much. -Squee.-

    GOING UNDER THE COUCH

My little jacques cousteau is always trying to get under there. Sometimes he succeeds. I don't know what he hopes to find, but I really wish he'd stop giving me heart attacks when he goes under there!

Re: What do snakes do for fun?
My snake's number one thing to do at night seems to be explore, and when I let her out on my bed or my desk she seems to have a pretty good time climbing around.

Do you guys let your snakes play on things? Does anyone have anything set up?

Maybe snakes can't have "fun" the way we can but I'm sure they enjoy getting out or climbing in vines.
I want to set up a more interesting environment for my snake. I want to know what kinds of things would work well. I just put a good branch in the tank so thats just a start.
