Damn, Adam is a wealth of knowledge, who knew he could be a career counselor as well as a bp resource!

Good luck, there Heath. With all this luck and advice you're a shoe in. Hope it all works out for you!

Thank you Adam...#7 is so true, however I did find something that will work. I had my army class A over coat in the closet...never used it once but it looks just like any other overcoat so I'll use it to keep clean.

I really appreciate your tips, especially about being excited. Looking back I think that is something I have done...try'd to play it cool rather than let my eagerness and excitement show through a bit.

Class A coat will work ... just hope nobody there recognizes it as Army issue ... I interviewed a guy that showed up in his marine corps issue shiney black corofram shoes ... I made fun of him for the whole interview. :P

I used to do the play it cool thing too on interviews until I got into senior management and started interviewing and hiring ... eager is way cool to a hiring manager that has been working with the same crusty old dolts for years. ;) :sweeet:

Adam speaks the truth... I've only held two interviews so far in my life, but between the guy with more experience and the girl who seemed stoked and eager to work and learn, I ended up going with the girl.

...doh! Well that nixes my idea for shoes! They are probably just a little to shiny anyway. That's too funny that you recognized them being used in an interview though!

LOL ... you can see coroframs coming from a mile away!! ... I was always an old school leather and spit shine kind of guy, so catching a fake shine is pretty easy. :P

You have a great attitude ... show them that and the job is yours!! Good luck!

    Thanks for the compliment Adam.

Well the the interview went pretty good from my point of view. It started off with the HR Director, VP of Finance, and the IT manager. Each had info shared in both directions and left when they where done. I talked to the IT manager the longest...of course. He is an interesting person and seems like one of those people everyone considers a "nice guy".

I learned more about what the business does and while a decent size in itself is still part of a much larger entity. They made sure to convey multiple times that it is a financially driven business, those who can keep up and do well get rewarded and those who don't get the door. Opportunities for advancement included not just this company but the parent company(ies) as well which could be in other states or even some locations starting up out of the US.

They offer college tuition reimbursement up to 75% and I would be expected to utilize that...awesome!

The number of workstations I would be managing is much less than the max number I currently have and in past jobs, however the network responsibilities will be far greater than I've ever had. -this is exactly how I would like things to be. I would definitely have some things to learn but that comes with any new job.

Something kinda funny...or maybe I threw myself under the bus with the comment: The HR Dir. at one point reminded me that we had talked on the phone about the salary range and that it was pretty broad, then asked "where about are you in that range currently?" I paused for a second trying to put my answer in words that wouldn't sound stupid and only came out with "...I'm not...in that range at all at the moment." I didn't mention the fact that the low end of the range he mentioned to me on the phone was more than 20K higher than what I am making now :0

I was told their are other candidates, which I figured. I'm not quite sure what to think possibility wise I really wasn't getting a reading other than hitting the same page with the IT manager letting him know that I had experience in something when he was listing different areas or specific items included in the duties.

They are supposed to make a decision by next week so I don't know if that means they won't be doing a second round or not. Oh and man did I look SEXY in my fancy clothes! WOOO I turned myself on! -ok not really but I felt pretty dang good.

Now that that is all over and I've had some lunch I think I'll relax the rest of the afternoon and get a jump on cleaning tubs!

Thanks again everyone your support and kind words mean alot to me!
