    I'm not harrassing her.
I am however worried about the animals and her passing ring worm to them.

I've expressed my concerns and I'm going to leave it at that.

I have been rehoming animals all my life. Most of the time money comes from my own pocket. They call it rescue, which I have done for 30 yrs. Also when I do research on a pet that I'm acquiring all the little behavior things don't come in that information. As long as someone takes excellent care of their animals and then takes care in who they rehome them with it should not be a concern. I myself had 4 of my personal dogs that I had to rehome. With the help of my best friend they all got excellent homes. I went thru a divorce and basicly ended up in a rental for a few yrs. That doesn't make me bad. What would have been bad if I tried to drag these animals from spot to spot while I tried to get my life together. Unless you know the circumstances don't be so fast to judge. If youare concerned IM someone and ask your questions.:)

I just can't let you go off about how people have lame excuses for rehoming pets when I know you've rehomed pets before or kept them in not the best conditions.

You may give different reasons on this board then you do on all the live journal communities you and I are both in because you don't want to look bad here but you can't deny the reputation you have on live journal.

and Allison aren't you concerned that you are going to pass the ring worm you have all over your arms to the new piggie?

    Well let's see.
I've had my dog for 9 years. She'll be 10 this Oct.
I've had cats all my life, my last cat had cancer and had to be put to sleep. Out of the 8 cats I grew up with, NOT ONE was ever rehomed! They all either died from old age or had to be put down for cancer or other bad/painful medical reasons.
The cat I have now, I took her in from a dirty old steel plant where I work at part time. She was born a stray/wild cat.
As for the ferret.... I WATCHED him for a friend for a whole two week. He was never mine, nor did I "get rid of him".
The guinea pigs I had since they were about 4-6 weeks old when I got them from a pet store. That was back in late 2002, early 2003. I HAD TO rehome them because of moving, like I already said.

Also yeah this is not live journal. Live journal is full of a bunch of animal nazi's where there is only one way and one way only to care for your pet. So sorry I don't rush my dog, cat, whatever pet off to the vets every time he/she sneezes or acts "off". Also so sorry that I don't give my animals TOP DOLLAR pet food. I'm NOT made of money so getting everyone that 5.5lbs of top pet food for $20 or that 20lbs of food for $55 just is NOT in my budjet. Maybe it is for you, but not everyone can afford that. Does that make them bad pet owners? No!

Now as for the ring worm on my arm, YES I DO have ring worm on my arm right where my arm bends that I got from my rat. What have I been doing? I've been wearing LONG sleeves, putting actual bleach on the ring worm spot since over the counter creams aren't working. Also I've been washing everything super good. I'm NOT rubbing my arm where it is, anywhere near my pets... BUT just because I have ring worm is not going to make me stop petting them or giving them attention.

So yes, I don't know why you have decided to bash me on here or what crawled up your behind and died... Maybe because I really no longer post that much on the live journal pet community because well everyone tears each other apart for being a "stupid pet owner" when someone doesn't 100% agree with what you do.

Maybe you just felt the need to stir up a bit of drama? I don't know but you will now be the first person I actually block on here. Good riddance!

Also if anyone actually does think any of my animals are in "danger" in my care because I don't "keep them in not the best conditions." I will whole heartily welcome you to come to my house and have a look around. Adam, Shaun, anyone who happens to pass by Maryland on 95?

Allison,i think you hit the "nail on the head" as they say.Its obvious that her reasons for slamming you are because you no longer frequent that "other" site.I had to block my first member here also recently and do not miss him at all,you gotta do what you gotta do i guess.I find it VERY funny she says she knows your animals are poorly kept but she has NEVER been to your home:P .

My reasons for concern are not because she doesn't frequet LJ anymore. She's on there all the time how do you think I know about her having ring worm?

I find it funny that you think I don't know anything about her. Just because she doesn't post the same stuff on here as she does on live journal doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

I don't just make things up.

i can certainly understand your concern jenn. ring worm is very contagious and personally, until it was cleared up i wouldn't be handling any critters.

allison have you seen a doctor? i know my girlfriend used one of the flea medications... "program" i think it was to get rid of hers. the doctor recommended her using it when the other meds weren't working.

congratulations on your new piglet... do be careful you don't pass your ringworm along to it though. ;) you mentioned that you are still cuddling and handling your pets... please use caution. if the ringworm goes thru everything you have... think of the expense and time it'll take to clear everyone up. :rolleye2:

actually, when you feed the higher quality foods, you animal eats less... poops less and is getting more nutrition. so over the course of a year... it actually costs you less to feed. most people don't realize that... but it's true. when we put our pets onto nutro brand foods... the food bills went down, not up ;)

she posted on a public site saying she had ring worm and then posted saying she got a new pet. It's not like she told me in confidence and I told her secret?

so 2 neg feedbacks for asking if she was concerned about passing the ring worm on?

I'd also like to add that when Andre was exposed for having kept his snakes with another snake that had an RI everyone freak out.
How is it any different to expose an animal to an RI or to knowingly expose them to ring worm?
