Thanks everyone; I am more happy than I thought humanly possible. It doesn't feel like some groundbreaking exciting event; more like, a natural progression and evolution of our relationship. I am just quietly happy about it all, and I know it is right. We got together in May of 2001.
Now... time to tentatively set a date, and do all the fun wedding planning stuff! I already enlisted my sister as maid of honor; my best friend will be one bridesmaid but I can't really think of anyone else who would fit the bill; do two bridesmaids sound ok; I think so.. we plan on just getting married here at home since there's lots of room outside for the reception and parking; or maybe we will do the deed somewhere and just have the reception here at home.. renting a tent will be a definite though, as the weather is unpredictable.. maybe have the ceremony at a nondenominational chapel? I just don't know about the logistics of having the solemn ceremony under the tent, and then carting in tables for the catering and reception part; but maybe that would work? lol, this is fun stuff!!

    Congratulations!!!

The best number of bridesmaid's is the number you end up with...a friend of mine had none, I had one, another friend had 12...it's really up to you. =)

No rules required; do what YOU want and what is the least amount of stress. Period.

Oh and by the way, your ring is GORGEOUS! WOOHOO! And yeah to the toothpaste and toothbrush trick...cheap, easy and harmless to the stones and metal. =)
