A harly is normal coloration with a stripe, blushing on the sides and pattern that 'melts' upward from the belly.....

The genetics on most 'harlequins' is unknown. Just a random pattern variation in a normal ball python in most cases. However, some are 'genetic'. IMHO....the term 'harlequin' is thrown around very loosely...used by people trying to sell normals for a little extra.....

Some of the pictures posted look like normals with a little bit of the harly traits...nothing special....

.......but the picture that kavmon posted is a great example of what I would consider a 'harly'.....Compare that to a normal wild type animal and the difference is obvious....

.....Jas....post another picture of The Freak and show how hot harlys can get ;)

I do agree with you for the most part and that is EXACTLY what they are unless they produce something special.
The ones we produced will most likely just be GREAT odd looking normals with a ton of nice flames who knows.
That's why they are called dinking projects. :)

PS' Now kavmon that is one sweet looking ball.I really like the look.
I hope that project proves out for you.

Check gollireptiles.com and ballroompythonssouth.com...they both usually have some Harlequin type balls. They also usually have a good selection of odd balls. I believe they both work together. I've purchased from Neil Golli before and he was great to work with....

It means that if you were uncomfortable with that statement, I may have gotten my point across in a rather nice way. and you may put some thought into your future actions. :)
