I spent time in Bangkhae, Lamluga, and Bangkapi which are parts of Bangkok. Most of my culinary exploration was up-country though in Ubon, Phitsanulok, and Chiang Mai. I would love to go back and dive around Phuket though. Thailand just has so many things to do and see (and eat :D)!

I think we're all so mental about food , Look at us as a nation cow's are sacred in india and we practicaly live off of them here. Also while Asian's look alot less musucular or full ,they are alot more healthy and live longer than us on their diet's. Hay I havn't made it a priority but I think I'll try most of all that stuff one day. Rat's etc.(In an Asian country) Gotta go where they know how to make it.

Are Okinawans still on the top of that list? I saw a special at some point on the past on diet and overall caloric intake as it relates to longevity and I think they had the highest (oldest) life expectancy.

I have a really hard time with escargot and grubs though raw fish seems to be no problem lol. Go figure!

grubs i dont know if i could handle escargot i can. raw fish isnt a problem either. I remember when i was like 5, we were at a reasturaunt, and instead of ordering chicken fingers like every other kid, i ordered muscles. I have always been a curious eater.

I don't see anything wrong with it, other than misrepresentation.. if they say it's chicken, and it's not.. they should be shut down, fined, and put out of business.

Probably eaten cat and/or dog through unknown food - and I'm not too concerned about it. I'd rather not eat cat, that is to say, I don't think I could ever eat it intentionally.

Dog meat, sure...when in Rome. I work with a Korean who says that chow chow is a delicacy in Korea...so, if I was there, I'd have to try it.

Weirdest things I've knowingly eaten: buffalo (quite tasty!) and possum (long story).

Weird things I love that most people don't: all the really ooky sushi things (sea urchin, salmon eggs, scallops), raw oysters (only eaten when I smell the ocean cuz otherwise, it can't be fresh), anchovies (YUM!).

Normal things most people LOVE and I can't STAND!!!:
    milk
    bananas

Both should rot in hell - YECH!
