Ouch! I hope your finger feels better. Around 5 years ago or so I caught my thumb with a hammer so badly that the skin split on the side of my thumb. I wound up losing the nail later on, but I had to bore a hole in it to relieve the pressure before that happened.:(

My Dad did something like that to....he was a carpenter so it happend ever so often....but the one I remember was when he hit it and actually split the skin....it was like something I have never seen before...it seemed like everything that was once under the skin can bursting out....gross..

I have shot a brad nail through my finger with a nail gun before. Also had a wood staple shoot up into the middle of my palm. Those are the fun carpentry accidents. That doesnt even count the incident where the roof fell and i was thrown into the yard.
