and that glass ball is the lamp shade from a hanging lamp - it was in our front entranceway when we bought this house. i liked the shape and figured i could use it for something... so it waited and waited and then i gave it to drake. he adores it... he spends most of his time coiled up in that glass ball LOL

i offer hides to my boas... and they seem to use them some of the time... so i leave them in there.

(this is so cool seeing where everyone keeps their snakes!)

All I keep anymore are dwarf boas. they fit real nice in cb 70 racks. this male Sabogae Island Boa has popped his head out looking for a bite. Im not talking rodents here! :) https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil.../boaracks2.JPG

Awesome setups! Rapture; I like that cage; nice and big and spacious.

Aleesha, that's a good idea (using the nylon bands for cage locks.) I was going to ask how you kept them closed; question answered!

Ed; you just have too many darned awesome snakes :)

hey they all love their plastic plants... it helps with their sheds! :P

no, unfortunately my hog isn't pure. i thought he was when i purchased him but i found out he wasn't. his saddles are showing more and more every shed... as the rest of him lightens more and more...

here's the thread of me discovering him as a cross (if you are interested)

Here is a BCI cage that I had built myself. It goes from a "vertical" cage to a "horizontal" cage in no time. Sorry for the poor-quality photos. The cage is 4' x 2' x 2' or 2' x 2' x 4'. In the first photo is a 6' male BCI hiding in the corner (first day in the cage).

Here's my 40 gallon tank (2 - 20gallon longs which are stacked, because I had removed the bottom of one). My 3' male CA BCI is highly arboreal and he doesn't do anything on the ground except defecate and drink water.

:D Yay for homemade cages !
