    I voted female ,
as my first ball python (Ron) was probed to be a male at around 8 scales in.... a mate of mine also has a ball python which was probed to be female at 4 scales in and proved for definate she was female last year by laying a nice clutch of eggs :)

    Steveo,

Those are standard numbers :D That is a given that they are male and female with those probe lengths.

As for the 5 scale probing, I have had that problem as well. I just pop, and in my experience, most have been female...

I have a male right now that probes 4 scales, and is producing sperm plugs though, so you really just have to pass the snake along to a couple people and have them pop and see what they say. :P

Good luck! I know how frustrating it can be with the sexing...

Are you planning on using him to breed? I would not if it was me as i would think he would not have "enough" to get the job done.If you do infact use him in a breeding let me know how things turn out.No i am not some weirdo that wants to hear snakeys getting it done :D lol.Just for info purposes

I have been probing for years, smarty pants ;)

AND I have had an aquaintance that had the same problem with his albino, probed 4 scales, and still bred fine, produced 3 clutches..

But, as for the snake in question, it is one of my TSE hets that was supposed to be a female.. It is most definately a MALE. I have no intention of breeding it at all..
