Actually, that's not entirely correct. There have been several genetic granite lines that have been bred with yellow bellies and no ebonies were produced. It seems that the granite has to be "special". ;)

Adam, I understand what you mean when you say that a granite x yellow belly will not produce the ebony ball. quite a few sellers have been saying that granites bred to yellow bellies will produce ebonys, and most of them have been selling imported granites. the ball that was bred to the yellow belly that produced the ebony, was a kinda, sorta granite looking ball. one of those special ones that pops up now and then that produces something very special. I would not stop breeding those imported granites, who knows you might be the next person to produce something that has never been seen before. and alot of the new morphs are coming from normal looking imports? :) https://ball-pythons.net/gallery/fil...llyyellow2.JPG

Actually, that's not what I said at all.

Just pointed out that there are genetically reproducible lines of granties that have been bred to yellow bellies and not produced ebonies and there are genetically reproducible lines of granites that have produced ebonies when bred to yellow bellies ... I guess I was taking the detailed way around the statement "be careful, not all granites are created equal". ;)
