MDF is funky looking, its almost like a super compressed piece of cardboard that you can scratch with your finger nails, and ding the corners up.

When I was building my racks I had 3 main options

    1) MDF
    2) Particle Board
    3) Melamine (which is basically particle board with melamine (a very durable thermoset plastic))

    All are heavy :)

The ones on the left are 27qt Sterilites, in the middle are 41qt sterilites, and on the right are 32qt sterilite (dividers on order to make hatchling tubs).

Hmmmm....cost of buying a prebuilt rack versus cost of flying either Cue and Tim into Ohio and locking them in my attic till they build me some dang racks! (I will leave you pizza and beer up there okay guys...I know the husbandry requirements of the average male homo sapien :) )

Edit: No beer till you measure the screwholes! I don't need a rack a la Glass okay! :P

Jo! You're BRILLIANT!!! I think we can go into business with this one! After they're done in your attic, we can keep 'em and ship 'em off to the next house that needs racks....with a modest shipping & handling fee attached for our troubles. :carrot:
