Re: See y'all @ Tinley Park!!!
I just got back home.
Since this show was my first herp event I was really surprised at how many people were waiting to get in at 9:45am when I got there. I must have been behind about 400 people.
I really enjoyed myself. I think my mom really liked it as well even though she was only going along for the ride since my hubby was working.
I'll have to upload my pics soon.
Re: See y'all @ Tinley Park!!!
I hate to dissapoint, but my camera battery was dead upon checking in before the show...and the one item I forgot, the battery charger! Sorry!
The show was amazing, a ton of stuff to look at, and now my dad understands the ball python market by seeing everything that was available...and watching people buy high dollar morphs.
I only picked up two things today, I'll post pictures when I get home.
Heard several discussions about MKR while I was walking around, so that was an interesting to hear. But I'm sure you all know how those discussions went.;)

Re: See y'all @ Tinley Park!!!
Well I was there all day, hung out at the NERD booth a lot.. waited for any of you guys to show up.. which you didn't (well you didn't say hi to Kara anyway) so she says you suck! ;)
Perhaps next year we will actually figure out how to get together after the show. lol!
Re: See y'all @ Tinley Park!!!
I was going to say hi, but everytime I stopped by she was talking to people, more than likely with you April. I did send a nod Kevin's way, he doesn't know who I am, but I did anyways.:P
All I have to say is, killer bee axanthics, OW OW!
Re: See y'all @ Tinley Park!!!
Those were awesome weren't they!
Kara was talking to people all day (don't know how she does it.. lol!)
Re: See y'all @ Tinley Park!!!
I saw Celia (from EbN) today, just said hi, she then showed off her sweet TMNT tats to someone standing near while Sean was speaking with someone...so I just quietly admired their snakes.
The only breeder I talked to for a bit was David Thomson and his wife...very good people! She spent twenty minutes or so asking me about my future plans with ball pythons and gave me a few tips/words of encouragement. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to do business with them.
My favorite reptile at the show had to be either the Blue Tree Monitors or the Storr's Monitors...both gorgeous!
Re: See y'all @ Tinley Park!!!
I saw Celia too, but she was busy at the time.
The blue tree monitors were breathtaking. As was that giant croc monitor.

The croc looked a little stressed out when I walked by him, appeared to have some nose rubs from trying to get out of his small temporary cage. He was a beauty though!
Re: See y'all @ Tinley Park!!!
This was also my first reptile show. I'm pretty sure I'm going to buy a het hypo female to pair with my het hypo male, but I need to check my finances first.
The show was awesome! I loved the guy with the chinese alligator out front. The croc was passed out like a baby most of the time. Also the giant croc monitor was great. The bumble bee axanthix was my sure favorite.
I'm going back tomorrow, this time I'll try to get some photos.
ps. my photos didnt win the contest :(, oh well.
Re: See y'all @ Tinley Park!!!
I got back a couple of hours ago. I only picked up live feeder bugs, everything else was supplies and caging (the boaphile cage is still in the car).
I'm taking a different route to tinley next year, the traffic was awful. The construction on 294 is not helping at all...plus the only way to get onto I-80W is to NOT go through the IPASS section (gah, that mess cost me another hour on the way to the hotel...and there are no signs stating that).
I've got photos, but I did not get enough sleep over the weekend (or the past week for that matter) so you'll have to wait for a bit.
I didn't enter anything into the photo contest this year.
