Different species of tape worm. A human can get it from eating infected meat because we eat other mammals such as beef or pork. But if someone were to eat an infected snake, they would not contract the snake's tape worm. (ick!!!)

Parasites that need a warm-blooded environment to survive and grow will not find that in a snake's body. And vice-versa for reptilian parasites.

I hate to be harsh with you Andre but we discussed this months ago. 30 days is not enough time to have new snakes quarantined. Additionally, you need to be extremely strict with your quarantine procedures. That means washing well after handling any quarantined animals, using antibacterial gel, using separate hides, feeding tongs, chlorhexidine spray bottles, etc. If you are going to breed snakes and want to be taken seriously and to actually be able to sell healthy, quality animals, now is the time to get this right. This time its apparently treatable parasites, next time you may not get so lucky.
