Thanks! Cypress and Moss... I like the look, and she loves to bury down... Somtimes you can't even see her!

i read this awhile ago and finally found it again. it discusses how there really isn't any difference between the two (surinam and guyana boas) - that it's a political border, not a biological one. anyway... here's the page:

so i got a question about shedding.

my rtb is probably about...2 months old. and i just noticed today that her eyes are starting to go opaque. like, you can still see them, but they've got that greenish tint thing going for them.
and now i know you're not supposed to handle them when they're shedding,
but she's supposed to eat today.
is it still cool to put her in her feeding tote, return her to her cage and then just let her shed and allt hat fun stuff...
or should i wait till its all over.
like...how long does it last (the shedding)?
she's only about 2 feet right now.

I've asked the same question before. All I got was "some will eat, some won't...so try it" If you feed F/T this is no problem, but if you feed live like I do... you have to worry about taking care of the mouse/rat until your snake does eat. Both of mine ate when they were shedding. As for moving your snake to feed, it's just fine to feed it in it's tank/tub...No need to move it.

My BPs usually take a week or so to shed. I'm not sure if the same applies to RTBs.
