    its not really taxidermy, thaxidermy is when the whole pelt is taken and put on a manakin or wire frame, they look mummified were they?

    I thought taxidermy was when the whole animal was stuffed and made to look as it was when it was alive?

    Yeah, I figured that was the case with taxidermy. But those pics seemed approrpiate for this thread, and I figured anyone interested in taxidermy would find them fun, at least. Glad you liked it!

    I didn't talk to the vendor at that table, so I have no idea what process was used to preserve those....remains? It looked wayyyy too detailed to have been faked, though. LOL Mega creepy!

    it is, except for the whole animal part, the organs, meat, brain, and the bones are removed(cept for the small digits and tail bones). the skull can be removed or not.

    yeah no way that was faked. maybe he gutted it and let dermestid beetles eat a bit? i havnt got a clue! do you know if the vendor has a website? maybe i can email him from there?

    I have no clue about the vendor, except that you can see a guy's vendor tag in the background of the top picture. I googled his name and didn't find anything useful. Maybe someone else that was at Daytona, though, might know more.
