You know, I can actually relate to that, a little. I have my issues with public school, and did try homeschooling my daughter for a while. I enjoyed it a LOT, loved having her home with me. But we moved to a different town where she had no friends, and no way to meet any. The only homeschooling group here is Christian, and you actually have to sign a paper that says you believe in Yahweh to join! So she decided to go back to school in order to meet people, and she loves it, so there ya go!

Yep Mikey turned 5 this past April so it's off to school he goes. We are lucky that the elementary school is basically across the street from the duplex where we rent and I think he's ready for this step more than I am. It just seems once they start school they are big kids and silly me isn't quite ready to let go of this last baby of mine yet.

I just graduated so this is my first year of no school (minus college) and my siblings just started this monday- Alabama likes to get in early or something.
It was totally excellent- even though i work from 6-4 and they have school from 7:45 or so-2 or 3 something. Guh. I laugh at them- it still feels like summer, and every year when school started it felt like fall bit your ankles. Kekekekeke *rubs hands manically* i get too much fun out of this.
    Sorry.
I come from a family that loves to annoy the crap out of each other..

Both my kids are grown up and left school long ago. My friend and neighbour is being driven mad by her kids just now (aged 9 and 10) - and they don't go back to school until September over here:O

Have you thought about becoming involved with his class? I loved going in and helping out in the classroom, while my son was in kindergarden. My son loves it too. I actually read to the class the first day of first grade, and plan to be VERY involved in his class. There's such a short period of time that you can actually participate in their classes. With preschool, they don't want the parents in the room too much, as it distrupts their schedule. Although I am looking forward to a couple field trips with her. :D

But hey, if you need a shoulder - I'm always here.

If you like school, why don't you want it to start? I loved school, but I was a big ole Band Geek:
