Re: Goodbye...
Sorry to hear about your BP. He's probably resting right now in snakey heaven with all the other diseased herps. R.I.P.
BTW, congrats on the enw home. When does escrow close? Moving next month seems really fast (things may be different in Canada).

I'm pretty sure it's the fact that he was pretty much malnourished and the stress of changing owners :(
He got a river service this morning, I set him down there.
I don't know what escrow means, but it's a relatively fast posession, but not terribly unusual. I mean the homeowners had Aug 15 as their ideal posession date on the home info sheet, and the agreed to it. You can have all the paperwork done in three weeks' time without really rushing.
I'm going to wait until we're moved to get another snake. If that means forfeiting the breeder's "two week guarantee" on the snake, then so be it, I don't want to lose another one :(

Re: Goodbye...
I'm not sure what the meaning is either, but when you get a certain amount of days till escrow closes, that's when the owner has to bail out and the keys go into your hands. Around here they're 30-60 days, not sure on what it depends on (I guess what the owner chooses).

With the move it would be best to wait, but you really SHOULD let the breeder know what's happened and that the snake he sold was in poor health. If he's reputable, he'll still make good in some manner.
Good luck, on both your new home move and your future pet.
 Sorry to hear of your pet's passing. :(

Re: Goodbye...
Yes. I called and emailed the breeder yesterday, so hopefully he will get back to me.

Re: Goodbye...
I am sorry to hear for your loss. For your own information, going by the pictures, I think the one you got was a captive hatched ball python, born in Africa. If you already knew this then I am sorry. If you where told this was captive born then I would be concerned. I wish you the best of luck in the further and hope you are not too discouraged.

Re: Goodbye...
Mousch,
Who was the breeder? He looks very small in the pic you posted. Email me once you move and I'll set you up with a healthy, CB, ball python. I'll also be out at the Red Deer Alberta show the end of August as well.
I hope you can rectify this situation with the "breeder".

Re: Goodbye...
Good plan Corey. mousch, you will be so pleased with the difference of getting a well started captive born ball python. Especially from somebody who does such a nice job as Corey:gj:

Mousch, you can't go wrong with Corey! I'd jump on this offer like a hungry snake on a rat! :P

Re: Goodbye...
Corey, will you be at the small TARAS show in September?
I honestly don't know if he was captive bred or hatched. The way he talked I assumed it was CB but I really don't know. He was so skinny, but I was really sure I could pull him through with your guys' help. I guess it wasn't meant to be :(
But if I have the assurance of a healthy happy bouncing (maybe not bouncing) baby BP, maybe we'll go to red deer. It's not too far from Calgary, is it? I have the feeling my boyfriend would drive me. He seemed pretty "cool" on the idea of a BP until we got hero, and he got a case of ball lub. He was very sad when we lost him, he would talk to him in his cage and always wanted to hold him. If you would set us up to be happy BP parents again, I would much appreciate it :)
