Ok cool....I mean, it looks pastel-ish, the color, blushing, light coloring on the head.....a belly shot should clear it up.

But if you don't pay a pastel price...there's a good chance its a really cool normal.

I agree it looks pastelish,but the price makes me wonder.Dont get me wrong its a nice looking snake.If it proves out in the future then hey thats sweet.Yes a belly shot will make the determination of what it really is.

What do you look for in the belly to say one way or the other.. how does it differ from a normal.. sorry for the dumb question just trying to get stuff straight in my head

Look at the wide white scales on the belly. Also look as the white fading on the back of the head. Another key feature of the pastel is the fading white upper lip. I say the one that Jess has is a pastel :)

Yeah it definately is pastelish and a beauty and has a nice white upper lip... but the pink background should trick your eyes into seeing more pinks in the snake than a neutral background.

well the photos are not taken by me. it was taken by his old owner. when I get my new cam and let him settel in a bit I will post some photos. I asked the guy if i could use his photos to show you guys and he didnt have a problem with it ... said they were my photos now any way LOL. his eyes are not as light as i would like them to be but you cant be 2 picky. :D
