Re: Herp inventory!
Ohhh you have Black Milksnakes Lawrence! Any idea when they will breed and you'll have some babies available. My husband Mike would like a Black Milk at some point as he's fascinated with the color change they do through and we've been told they are the biggest of the Milks. We're in no rush to own one but would like to do our "shopping" with the members of BPNet. :) (so that's a Black Milk, a Leucy Texas Rat and a VBB all from breeding from BPNet members and gosh knows how many BP's here or there...oh and Sevie the BCI from Lynn....yayyyyyyy I love this place!) You have a Candy Cane corn Tim. Okay you two...I want some pics in the colubrid forums! LOL
Okay our list as of today:
Severus - an 05 male BCI, adopted recently from Lynn here on BPNet by our oldest son Lucas - absolutely gorgeous little male with a super clean pattern and the typical puppy dog friendly Columbian personality.
Emi - an 05 female Albino Nelson's Milksnake - purchased from Ken Wares of Michigan who bred her - purchased by our younger daughter Beth - a drop dead WOW kind of snake who looks like someone colored on her with dayglo markers - is not nippy or prone to musking and snarfs down her fuzzy mice like they are going out of style - Beth is on the hunt for a 100% het for albino male so one day Emi can be bred.
Malachi - an 05 100% het for albino male Ball Python - bred by Adam of 8BallPythons - Mal is an amazing strapping big male and will breed this coming season for the first time - we will be holding back all of his possible het daughters to eventually prove them out. His name means "my angel".
Brannagh - an adult normal female BP of unknown age but estimated to be 3 years old or so - found dumped off in a local pet store and highly aggressive - we worked hard with her and she's now a big, gorgeous BP who is finally safe to handle - she is currently under a breeding contract with Eugene from BPNet. Her name means "dark beauty".
Orlah - female normal BP - also dumped off at the same pet store but from a different owner (we really lucked out walking in just after they both were put up for sale) - probably the sweetest tempered BP around - also unknown age but estimated to be 3 years old or so - she's a bit smaller than Brannagh but not by much - she carries a huge dorsal scar from being exposed to an unprotected hot bulb (or so the vet surmises) but it doesn't bother her - she recently laid 5 eggs and is also under breeding contract with Eugene. Her name means "golden princess".
Saorise - a WC adult normal female of unknown age - she carries a scar on her side likely from her capture - she came to us after a number of other owners could not get her to eat in captivity - with a lot of work and the support of BPNet and Adam Wysocki's great advice we got her eating and to accept human handling - she did fast over the winter but is eating again now and gaining weight - she came in to us at 620 grams which was way way underweight but is now over 1100 and though still too thin it's getting there. She seems particularily attached to Mike and he to her. She will be bred to Malachi this fall if she gains sufficient weight to consider her. Her name means "freedom and liberty".
Kyna - reported to be a late 03 - female captive born normal BP that we adopted after her original owners realized they did not know enough about BP's to properly care for her - she was not abused but was underfed and was pretty small for an 18 month old BP when we got her - with proper food she quickly caught up and is now over 1100 grams and gaining steadily. She unfortunately cares scars from a cat falling through the mesh lid of her enclosure when she was a baby snake. She will hopefully breed for us this coming fall. Her name means "love and affection".
Rionach - sold to us as an early 05 but likely is a late 04 due to her size at that time - a normal female BP that was a Mother's Day present for me last year from Mike and the kids - our most spoiled BP (she'll only eat rats of an exact size...the bratling!). Her name means "queenlike".
Muirne - an 06 normal female BP that I bought for Mike for Father's Day this year - our only reduced pattern female at this point - a bit of a slow start on eating but she's doing beautifully now. Her name means "high spirited".

Re: Herp inventory!
0.1 ball python, Cleo
Purchased from PetCo, she's been an angel and is definitely Daddy's girl. Weighed 120g or so in January, she's now over 400 and has grown over a foot in length. Mouse, rat, dead, alive, f/t...she doesn't care...just gimme!
0.1 surinam boa, Carmen
Purchased from LLL, she's been my "problem child" with regurge issues, mites, little to no weight gain and recently, respiratory infection (which I think is cleared up, we have a vet appointment checkup tomorrow). But she's beautiful and I can't wait for her to chill out, eat and get bigger. While I'm flattered her picture won the HOTM, she thinks "well of course it was going to win...duh...look at me!" So conceited. =) I'm just glad we're done with shots...=P

Re: Herp inventory!
well lets see here... (each one of my reptiles are named after a SubWoofer.)
Assission A.K.A. Baby.
he is a 04 or 05 male 900+ gr at almost 4 feet now, from a privite breeder in WV. He enjoys only live dark colored mice, inverting his stuff on my husband (yes he did it to him again) and tearing apart his cage. He is a big mamas boy. anything that scars him he come high tailing it to me. dont know why...
Distroyer A.K.A Lady
she is 05 female at almost 1,000gr at hitting 4 feet + from Prehistoric pets in Santa Anna CA. The store swears that she is a YB but they are not fooling me.
she enjoys bugging people on MySpace, and eating what ever gets in to her cage. She is a VERY BIG mamas girl and trys everything she can to curl around my neck at watch the screen as i type. she is verry agressive twards the kitten. the cat walks by and I hear this hiss/growl come from her as she is watching the cat. (no the two have never met face to face nor will they ever... i dnt trust the cat)
Havoc AKA Angel.
she is an 06 ch female from Angols Africa and bought from Ben Siegel Reptiles. she was shy but she is working out of it like a champ. I really dont know much about her yet because she has only been with me for a short time.
Brama AKA Sweetie & Titon AKA Classy.
2 06 females from a privite breeder here in Agusta. they are both some what picky about the color of there meals but only time will tell if I can get them to eat. the count down begens...
I'm not counting the male pastel as he has not arived yet and no one is answering there phone...

Re: Herp inventory!
Not much for me, but here it goes:
0.0.1 Ball Python (Nespithe) - Purchased in Feb 2006 when it was a baby, I'm assuming it's 8-12 months old. 22" long as of last week. Easily startled but LOVES to explore.
0.0.1 Colombian Red Tail Boa (Therion) - Purchased last week as a baby. Probably 2-4 months old. 20" long.
0.0.1 Chilean rose Tarantula (Placid) - Purchased last week, as well. 3.2" legspan. Age unknown. Very calm, but feisty after feedings.

Re: Herp inventory!
I have a small group of 25 ball pythons. They are all different types including hypo, albino, het pied, img, fire and a random bunch of silly ones.
When I was young and spry I had a collection of ~400 herps of all different varieties. While working at a reptile store for 6 years I had access to all sorts of neat ones and would rotate them often. Those where the days!!!
