I'm hoping to get them something temporary, but good as I hope to also use these larger tub/racks for my adult BP's and outgrowing more boas right before they need their own 4X2 enclosure.

Fact is I am running out of floor space and need to make the most of what I have at the moment. My BP's are also at 650-750g, soon they will need to be moved up as well.

I think I'll go with the CB70's and get some more Boaphile 421D's when the time comes.

Ahhh, I didn't realize they were for Boas. I understand running out of space though!

Obsolete unless it is x-mas season. Walmarts ONLY carry those during x-mas, unless you find a few leftovers right after the x-mas season...they are considered storage for small x-mas trees or lots of ornaments. My Dad is a x-walmart employee, and he said you may be able to con the manager into ordering them at other times of the year if you explain you really need them... thats how I get them. ;) Also try the Container Store..

After spending almost two days on this, I've decided to go with CB-110's. These are more common than the CB-75's, not as common as the CB-70's, but common enough. They are 2" wider and 5-6" longer than the CB-70's which my male boas will appreciate the extra inches when it comes time to stretch out a bit.

Now that we've made up our minds on tubs and tub size, we can start working on the rack. Plans will be to stack eight Iris CB-110's, rack will be made of Melamine on casters for easy rolling, when needed. Heating will be belly heat via 11" Flexwatt on one side of the tubs, controlled by a Helix DBS-1000. Cost should be $275.00 w/out thermostat, w/Helix1000 = $400.00.

    About $35.00 per 39" X 20" X 6.5" enclosure w/flexwatt.
About $50.00 per when you add the Helix at $125.00.

Still undecided on whether or not to go lidless with these.
Either way, we'll get to work on these this weekend…should be fun!

I'll take pics as we go along. :)

I just came back from picking up 8 Iris CB-110 tubs from Bed Bath & Beyond.

    $15.99 - 20% (that's right guys, use the coupons) = $12.72 X 8 = $102.33 + tax $108.47.

It came out to $13.48 per tub same day pick up..:D

This weekend we'll pick up the Melamine and casters and start assembly.:sweeet:

Gerry do those have the solid lid or the split lid that opens independently on each end?

Hi Jo, these came with the split lids. We may just go ahead and set these up without the lids, haven't decided yet. All our baby tubs are set up with lids on the racks for added security, just peace of mind with the little ones.

Home Depot has some pre-cut Melamine that is 48" X 24". This would leave 4" on each side length wise and 2" front to back. We may just go lidless on these.
My only concern would be any humidity going up onto the Melamine and would it begin to rot after time.

I've got some melamine racks that are well over 12 years old and are still like brand new ... They were made by one of the first commercial reptile rack companies in the business and I love 'em.

If you make your joints tight and seal them with a fine bead of silicone, the melamine will last forever. ;)

I'd go lidless Gerry if at all possible. We use a very similar tub made by Rubbermaid and although the split lid is kind of handy the amount of give at the split is risky. We've dealt with it here but it's an extra hassle and worry. We've never had an escape out of the big split lid tubs but that's due in large part to being OCD. lol

Thanks Adam, we've decided to go lidless with these.
